In Parkstad Limburg, walking is also delightful. The beautiful nature makes every walk a unique experience. Camping de Watertoren is located in an excellent walking area, surrounded by beautiful forests, hills, meadows, and sights. A walk around our campsite can definitely be considered a pleasurable experience. For example, you can enjoy nature in the Brunssummerheide nature reserve. Or head to the northeasternmost point of South Limburg, near Schinveld and close to the German border, where the 5-star walking area Schinveldse Bossen is located. You can also discover the Roode Beek, a Nature Park in Parkstad, which leads past Scottish Highland cattle and the German border. Our campsite borders Germany. You can also choose to take a nice walk with our Eastern neighbors.

There is an area in the Parkstad region where you can walk excellently. That area is the Brunssummerheide. This nature reserve on the border with Germany guarantees hours of walking pleasure. You can follow various routes here without seeing the same spot multiple times. In short, walking here is excellent!

Routes from the campsite

During the high season, you can join our evening walks in Limburg under the guidance of guides from IVN. This offers the ultimate opportunity to explore the nature of Limburg and the surrounding area further. You can easily start from the campsite, where various routes have been outlined for you. You can choose routes of 3, 8, or 12 kilometers, starting from the campsite via route numbers 176, 881, or 727.
