Camping Rules

The following rules apply at the campsite:

These house rules are intended to provide clarity about a large number of practical matters on the site and can be seen as "rules of conduct." If a camper does not comply with the 'rules of stay,' this may ultimately lead to termination of the agreement by the campsite management. As a general guideline, if in doubt or if you have questions, please consult the campsite management.

  1. All agreements for staying at Camping de Watertoren are made in accordance with the Recron standard conditions.
  2. Every camper is expected to respect other campers and to behave as a 'good and tolerant camper.'
  3. Free access to the campsite is only allowed for already registered campers. They do not need to report upon arrival every time.
  4. Visitors and guests must register in advance at the reception. They must pay the visitor fee or the overnight rate, according to the price list.
  5. The registered camper is responsible for the behavior of his/her visitors and/or guests. Visitors and guests must also comply with rules and customs.
  6. Each camper receives 1 barrier gate key per rented pitch, which also serves as a shower key upon payment of a deposit of €25. This key is strictly personal and may not be transferred to third parties. When returned, the deposit will be refunded. In case of loss, the right to a refund of the deposit expires.
  7. The barrier gate is closed between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
  8. Each camper is expected to keep his/her pitch and camping equipment in good and clean condition. If, in the opinion of the campsite management, the guest falls short in this regard, the guest may be forced by warnings and notices to remedy the shortcomings.
  9. Every camper has the right to park 1 car on their own pitch. Any second cars and/or cars of visitors or guests must be parked in the parking lot at the entrance. It is not allowed to use the car for internal transport within the campsite.
  10. Driving a moped or scooter on the site must be done at walking pace.
  11. The maximum allowed speed on roads and paths within the campsite is 5 km per hour; i.e., walking pace. Children, cyclists, and pedestrians must be respected by drivers.
  12. Noise nuisance must be avoided at the campsite. Music and TV installations should not be audibly disturbing outside one’s own camping pitch. Use of other noise sources, such as machines, mopeds, and motorcycles, should be avoided as much as possible.
  13. Silence must be observed on the site from 11:00 PM (to 7:00 AM).
  14. The erection of party tents, windbreaks, parasols, etc., is allowed, provided they are cleared/removed during absences of more than 24 hours.
  15. Campers are not allowed to carry out commercial or catering activities on the campsite. (Tap installations are not allowed)
  16. Malfunctions of utilities (electricity, water, etc.) must always be reported promptly to the reception or in the canteen.
  17. Suspicious matters are appreciated to be reported; any information provided will be treated confidentially.
  18. Use of tap water for washing cars and/or watering, etc. is not allowed.
  19. The campsite’s catering is open at fixed times. These will be announced at the restaurant entrance. Excessive alcohol use will be counteracted, and a strict closing time of 11:00 PM will be enforced. A few evenings per season may deviate from this closing time due to special events, etc. In such cases, the closing time may be extended up to a maximum of 1:00 AM.
