General
Is there an AED available on the campsite?

Yes, there is an AED available on the grounds for emergencies. It can be found at the reception.

What should I do in case of an emergency?

Contact the reception immediately (045-5321747) or call the emergency number 112. Always follow the instructions of the campsite staff.

I need a veterinarian, where can I go?

The reception can help you with contact details of the nearest veterinarian.

I need a GP, who can I call?

For medical care you can contact the general practice Kerkstraat: Kerkstraat 46, 6374 HM Landgraaf. 045 531 23 64.  

What should I do if I have a tick?

Remove the tick as quickly as possible with a tick remover or tweezers. Check the bite area and consult a GP if you have any symptoms. You can also ask for advice at the reception.

What is the maximum speed on the grounds?

The maximum speed on the campsite grounds is 5 km/h. This is for everyone's safety, especially playing children.

Is showering free?

Yes, at the reception you will receive the SEP key during check-in, which allows you to use the showers in the shower building for free.

Do you have cycling and walking routes available?

Yes, there are various cycling and walking routes available that you can pick up at the reception. There is also information about routes and other activities in the area.

Can I park my car at my pitch or accommodation?

Yes, one car is allowed per pitch and accommodation. It may be parked on the pitch itself or in a nearby parking area. Any additional cars may be parked in the parking lot for a fee.

Can I charge my electric car at your site?

Yes, there are 2 charging points for electric cars in the campsite parking lot.  

Is there public transport near the campsite?

Yes, there is public transport in the area with bus and train stations nearby. The reception can inform you about the closest stops and schedules.

Can I have mail and packages delivered to the campsite during my stay?

Yes, mail and packages can be delivered to the reception. Please clearly state your name and pitch or accommodation.

Where can I pick up lost and found items?

Lost items are kept at the reception. Contact the reception to inquire about found items.

Are drones allowed on the campsite?

The use of drones is not allowed on the campsite to ensure the peace and privacy of guests.

Are electric scooters, segways, oxboards and hoverboards allowed?

These devices are allowed on the campsite as long as you keep to the speed of 5 km/h. This is due to nuisance and safety.  

I want to send a postcard, where can I find a mailbox?

The nearest mailbox can be found on the Rinckberg, near number 49. You can also send letters/packages at the Readshop, next to the Plus. 

Swimming Pool
Is the swimming pool accessible to everyone?

No, the swimming pool is exclusively for our camping guests. However, you are very welcome on our terrace and in the playground.

What are the opening hours?

The opening hours of the swimming pool are from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The opening hours of the water play park are from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

During which period is the swimming pool open?

The swimming pool is open daily from Saturday, April 25 until September 13. 

What is the length of the swimming pool?

The swimming pool is 16 meters long.

Is the water heated?

Yes, the swimming pool is heated to around 28 degrees. The water play park is not heated but warms up very quickly from the sun.

Facilities
Is the reception open every day?

Yes, from April 3 until October 25 the reception is open daily.

In the winter period the reception is only open limited hours. 

Does the campsite have facilities for disabled people?

Yes, there is a disabled-accessible room in the sanitary building, with amenities such as a raised toilet with handles and a lowered sink. 
There is also a shower with a removable seat available for comfortable use. 

When is animation offered?

Animation is offered during Ascension Day, Pentecost, and in the summer holidays. 

Is there WiFi at the campsite?

Yes, every guest receives a personal WiFi code upon reservation. The code is valid for 3 devices simultaneously. 

Is there a laundromat available?

Yes, the campsite has a laundromat with washing machines and dryers. Note that you will need coins for this.

Do you have a freezer for cooling elements?

Yes, there is a freezer in the laundromat to place cooling elements. 

Can I rent a (electric) bike from you?

Yes, the campsite offers rental of (electric) bikes, children's bikes, pedal cars, and child seats. 

Booking
How can I book for next year?

You can book from October for the following year.

How do I pay for my holiday?

You can pay your reservation via the payment link you received after the confirmation of your booking. If this does not work, you can always ask by email for the account number and we will send it to you.

Do you accept discount cards?

Yes, we accept ACSI and Camping Key (show card upon arrival)

Do you have season pitches available?

We have various seasonal spots. You can send a non-binding email to: info@dewatertoren.nl to inquire if there is availability. This also applies to the pre and post-season spots.

I made a booking but have not yet received a reservation confirmation. What should I do?

After completing an online booking, we receive your reservation in our system. We first check it before sending the final reservation confirmation (also check your spam folder).

Can I make a preference booking for my camping spot or accommodation?

Yes, you can always indicate your preferences in the comments; we try to accommodate them as much as possible. Note that a small fee is charged for a preferred location in 2026.

Am I allowed to invite a guest during my stay at the campsite?

The total number of people, including guests, on a camping pitch may not exceed 6. A fee of €9.50 per person per night applies to guests, which includes use of the facilities. Overnight guests must always be registered at the reception by the main booker.

Accommodations
Are pets allowed in the accommodations?

Pets are only allowed in our chalet type A. (max. 1 pet)

May I invite a guest during my stay at the campsite?

For rental accommodations, the maximum number of allowed persons, including guests, must not be exceeded. A rate of €9.50 per person per night applies for guests, which includes the use of facilities. Additionally, there is a one-time sheet package fee of €9 per person. Overnight guests must always be registered at the reception by the main booker.

Camping
Are there maximum size or weight restrictions for vehicles on the campsite?

Motorhomes with a weight over 3500 kg are not allowed. Please contact the reception if your motorhome is heavier.

What is the size of my campsite pitch?

All pitches are on average 100m²

How many amperes of electricity are available at the pitches?

All basic pitches are equipped with 6 ampere power.
The comfort pitches have 10 ampere power, which can be increased to a maximum of 16 ampere if desired.

Where can I buy or refill gas cylinders?

You can buy gas cylinders at the reception. Refilling is unfortunately not possible.
Note: not all types are available. Please check with the reception for options. 

Where can I empty my chemical toilet?

You can empty your chemical toilet at the outside of the central shower building and at the outdoor toilets near the playground.

Am I allowed to barbecue at the campsite?

Yes, barbecuing is allowed at the campsite, provided it is done safely and does not cause nuisance to other guests. (for the protection of our grass, please use a tile with small disposable barbecues, which you can pick up at reception).

Am I allowed to use a fire basket at the campsite?

No, that is not allowed.

Can I place an extra small tent at my pitch?

Yes, an extra small tent is allowed (free of charge), provided it stays within the size rules (2x3) and fits with your camping equipment. If you have a second tent, you can add this to your reservation for a small fee.

Are party tents allowed on the pitches?

Standard party tents (3x3 meters) are allowed, provided they fit on the pitch. Large party tents only after consultation.

What material am I allowed to use under my awning?

Use only breathable materials such as bark mats or special camping materials that are water-permeable. No PVC or non-breathable plastic.

Are pets welcome at the campsite and in the accommodations?

Dogs are welcome in our park, with some conditions.
In a selected area of the site, a maximum of 2 dogs per campsite are allowed. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
Dogs are also warmly welcome in the restaurant, provided they are leashed and do not cause any inconvenience to other guests.

Which camping fields are most suitable for families with small children?

For families with (young) children, the following camping fields are very suitable due to their location, clarity, and play opportunities near the campsite. 
 
• Field 180 to 191
• Field 141 to 150
• Base field 75 to 88

How do I set up my television?

You can download the Camping de Watertoren APP, where you can find detailed instructions. Or ask at the reception.

Arrival & Departure
How do I know the route to my campsite or accommodation?

Upon arrival, you will receive all necessary information at the reception, including a map and your site or accommodation number. The route is clearly signposted on the site.

I have booked a camping pitch. From what time can I check in and check out?

Check-in: from 13:00
Check-out: before 11:00 on the day of departure 

How does the barrier work upon arrival and departure?

The barrier operates based on license plate recognition. When you make a reservation or during check-in, you provide the license plate number of your vehicle.
The barrier is open daily from 07:00 to 23:00.
Outside these times, you can park your vehicle in our parking lot, before the barrier. 

I have rented accommodation. From what time can I check in and check out?

Check-in: from 15:00 (during peak season it may happen that due to busy periods you can check in from 16:00).
Check-out: before 10:30 on the day of departure.

Can I book a late check-out?

Yes, a late check-out is possible based on availability.

Cancellation and Rebooking
I have booked accommodation or a camping pitch and want to cancel, is that possible?

Yes, it is possible to cancel an accommodation/campsite. Camping De Watertoren follows the Recron conditions. You can avoid these costs by taking out cancellation insurance when you book (see question 4).

Cancellation fees depend on the time of cancellation. The closer to the arrival date, the higher the amount charged. See the full terms and conditions on the website or contact the reception.

Do you offer cancellation insurance?

Yes, when making your booking you can add cancellation insurance. This covers you against cancellation costs in case of unforeseen circumstances (such as illness or death of close family etc.)
The terms and conditions of the cancellation fund are available on the website.
